Garbled/Gibberish Voice After Checking Specs on nuvi 260

I haven't had my nuvi 260 long, so I was playing around with it the other day. I pressed on the battery icon and waited until specs (that I know little about) came up. I pressed the down and up "buttons" and the backlight went down and up. I played a little more and then exited.

When the unit went back to the "Where To?" screen, everything looked fine. But then the "voice" came out, it sounded like an old cassette being eaten by a tape deck. I tried it again last night, and the same thing happened.

Does anyone know what's happening that makes the unit voice software go a little nuts?

Fortunately, when I turn the unit off and on, the voice goes back to normal.

My nuvi 200 acts up

My nuvi 200 acts up after going to the diagnostic screen also. It loses the clock data until a satellite lock. The only fix has been to remove or format the SD card.

I do the same thing, just reboot the unit and it's fine.

Thanks for the feedback

I still don't know what's happening to the unit (the gremlins are annoyed that I found the diagnostics page?), but it's nice to know that I'm in good company.
