Problem with Nuvi 360 bluetooth

Loaded v4.4 from the Garmin site and now my blue tooth connects and disconnects with my Blackberry 8800.

It was working fine previously under the old software version.

I have tried to pair the two machines again and the problem still occurs.

Does anyone have the same issue?

Any idea how to correct this?

Thanks,

Dan

Presumably you used WebUpdater and went on to download the V3.00 Bluetooth 'update', in addition to the V4.40 main firmware? (Check on the "System | About" page.)

You can downgrade the Bluetooth back to V2.80 (independently of the main firmware).

V2.80 is available from here arrow http://www8.garmin.com/software/nuviBluetoothFirmware_280.gc...

Save it on the Nüvi, in the \RemoteSW directory as 006B055301.GCD. Since it's an earlier version than the one you have loaded, it will probably not be loaded automatically.

In this case, press and hold 'Moving Avg' on the Speedometer screen, to display one of the hidden screens. Press 'Next' until you get to the 'Bluetooth Status' screen and choose "Updt" to manually reload the firmware.

Yes I used WebUpdater.

I'll try to downgrade the firmware and see what happens.

Worked like a charm

Thank you Hornbyp

Downgrading the firmware did the trick.

Lesson learned - if it ain't broke, don't take the firmware upgrades

Amen, Amen

Amen, amen. Amazing how few people have any reason and yet rush to do the upgrades, even when everything is working great.

Nuvi 660 -- and not upgrading it or maps until Garmin fixes long-standing bugs/problems, and get maps to where they are much more current, AND corrected on a more timely basis when advised of mistakes.

Had Same issue with a BB8830

Went to the back-version of the Bluetooth and all worked again.

Went back did not help

I have the ATT 8525 and before the update I was able to pull down my address book and get history, now I can not even though I went back to 2.80

Version 3.1 of the Bluetooth firmware has now been released. It's reported to have corrected many of these types of issues.

Update

I believe 3.1 is the one that took me out!
