I have a Nuvi 760, and it's a nice feature that the music icon appears on the map page,
so you can switch back and forth easily between the two.
But how do you turn off the music icon when you don't want to listen to music anymore?
I've hit the stop/pause button in the MP3 player, yet the icon still shows on the map screen. So far the only way I can get it off is to cycle power.

i had the same problem, you have to stop the song, then like press the back button so it goes to the begining of the song. make sure it dont start playing again, then exit, thats all.
If u stop it mid song the icon stays up
turn off music icon
When you switch back to the mp3 player just select pause and select next song using the 2 forward arrows. Then return to the map page

I also found that pressing the source button will remove the icon.

I also found that pressing the source button will remove the icon.
Using the source button will require you press the source button again when you return to play mp3 music.
The source button changes the source and it stays there until you change the source back to mp3
So if you want to use the source button I would suggest you hit it twice to return it to mp3 befor you exit the player.
