No "V" on 200W input screen

I was flying to VA last week on my first out-of-state trip with my 200W. Was going to rent a car and use my 200W to get from Dulles to Arlington. So while I was waiting for my plane at ATL I decided to input the address of my destination. I was shocked to find an "F" where the "V" should be on the alpha input screen. I pressed the "F" thinking that maybe it would respond like a "V" but it brought up "Florida" (the only state starting with an "F").
I had to wait until I got to VA so that I didn't have to change states to enter my destination. Lucky there was no "V" in the street address or I would have been stuck.
Has anyone else experienced this? How do I fix it?

Missing Letters on Keyboard
I found this FAQ on the Garmin website::
Question: nuvi 2xx missing letters on the Address Search screen
Answer:
If the nuvi 2xx is missing letters or displaying duplicate letters on the address screen, you may need to restart your unit in "mass storage mode." This means that you are restarting your unit as a drive on your computer.
To restart your unit in mass storage mode:
Using a USB cable, connect your unit to the PC. Your unit goes into mass storage mode; it displays an icon of a GPS unit plugged in to a computer.
Disconnect the unit from your PC and let it power on to the Main menu.
To confirm that the keyboard is now displaying correctly on the screen, select Where To? > Address > Spell State.
