garmins, unlike the tom toms, do not have "funny" sounds such as mr T. If that is what you are asking for. You only have your standard voices. But like MM said, you can make your own alerts to say/sound funny if you so wish

I just searched the web for sound files. You can download mp3 files using the Garmin POI Loader application. I found this application by searching the web. The Garmin website has a few free things like this one.

If you are wanting to play mp3 files (music) do not use the poi loader, just copy the files over when you have the nuvi hooked up via usb.

The poi loader is used to associate mp3 files with custom poi files (csv or gpx). This is for when you want your gpsr to "say" something either to remind or alert you when you a close to a location.
