icons not loading properly (pic is scrambled)

i have downloaded a couple icons from here and renamed them according to my custom poi file. when i look at them on my nuvi 360. all i see is a square of jumbled colors as opposed to the icon pic it should be, any idea why?

During Navigation or Viewing?

Does this occur during actual use, or just when you press "See Map" while checking out a POI? I ask because I had a similar jumbling -- looked like a double image -- until I either zoomed in and out or dragged the screen slightly and then everything was OK. When navigating, the problem never surfaced.

odds are even

The maximum size you should use for bmp icon is 24x24 pixels.

As for the garbled colors, I noticed that they had odd number of pixels (e.g. 23x23) when I had this happen. I reduced/modified/adjusted so that they have even number of pixels (e.g. 22x22), and they now seem to work fine.

I have no idea why this is, since not all icons with odd number of pixels come up scrambled.

I don't know if this has been mentioned before or not, but I have never heard it. Thanks!
