Chatty Charley thread for the week of February 25th 2008

This is the place to talk about things that are not gps related, you can discuss whatever you would like, as long as it is clean. Remember we have families that have their children involved in the GPS fun and we don't want to make parents feel uncomfortable when their children ask what that word means.

Have fun...

This thread will be closed on Monday and a new one will be opened.

Snow-Cycle

Happy Birthday to anyone who has a birthday today.

On another subject, when I got up this morning it was -4 (Worcester County, MA - all hills).
Forecast for tonight, new snow storm 7 inches of snow, on top of the 5 inches we had a few days ago.

The dust is getting thick on the motorcycle. Spring can't come soon enough!

Studded snow tire on the rear of the bike and a ski (use two if you like) on the front should do the trick; call it a SNOW-CYCLE! It'd probably handle better than a snowmobile too! wink

Your Favorite Joke

Here's mine...

Little Johnny comes home from catholic school with a black eye. His father asks “how did this happen?”

Little Johnny says "Dad, it wasn't my fault. We were in church saying our prayers and when we stood up, my teachers dress was stuck in the crack of her butt. So I reached forward and pulled it out for her. That's when she hit me."

Johnnie's father says "Johnny, whenever you see something like that on a woman, just leave it alone."

Well, the very next day little Johnny comes home with his other eye black and blue. His father asks him how this happened.

Little Johnny says "Dad, it wasn't my fault. We were in church saying our prayers and when we stood up, my teachers dress was stuck in the crack of her butt. Now Billy next to me sees this and he reaches forward and pulls it out for her."

Now I know she doesn't like this, so I pushed it back in!

Summer?

I seem to remember reading Florida had the coldest winter in a 35 years? I have family in FT.Myers and Clearwater and they all used their furnaces a awful lot this winter and its not even over just yet.

We are probably on the downward cycle of the weather sine wave. I seen it snow in Baghdad for the first time ever, and recorded low temps in China. I personally think Al Gore Got his awards in the nick of time, because his theory's probably won't hold up.

Here is a little reading, and you can goole plenty more.

Spring?

The calender states it's only 18 days away. Some of the worst snow falls we get are in March, along the shores of Lake Erie. The frigid temps are behind us I hope. And climate spring is right around the corner, After all thats what we are waiting for anyway, not a date.
