Garmin Map Update 2008 City Navigator North America NT

well at the advise of Best Buy personnel I purchased the DVD upgrade 2008 NT to try and get Canada on my nuvi 200
and his advise was bogus and does not work. So I am out the 80 some bucks it cost me to have this done.
Anyone need this I can let you have if to half price since it did not work for me.

Unless there is anyone that tell me how to get the Canada maps off of this DVD I am stuck and out the money as you can not return opened software for refund.

The Nuvi 200 is new enough that Garmin would have sent you a disk. Also did you try the trick that works for the C330 and copy Canada to an SD card..that should work fine with a Nuvi..it would just be a Supplemental map. And for the Combined price of the 200 and that disk you could have bought the nuvi 360 from Costco..not to rub salt in the wound

Hey last time I checked, Canada was part of North America. So if the CD says its North America, why wouldn't the maps be there automatically? If it's not, then I can see a good argument for a refund...

The nuvi 200, being a lower priced model, doesn't come with the full version of the maps.

If you check out MM link to the Nuvi 200, under specs, where it says Preloaded maps it says yes (regional) which to me would mean the lower 48 states.
The additional maps can be loaded on an SD card as I did for my C330.
