Upgraded my 250W to 3.1

I upgraded my nuvi 250W to 3.1 about a week ago:

nuvi 250W
Software Version 3.10
Audio Version: 2.20
GPS SW Version: 3.00s

And I have not noticed any bugs or issues, but I noticed a significant improvement in the display details, in particular I use the option with "most detail" and it shows all the streets in the area even when I zoom out quite a bit - I am impressed!

If I recall correctly, I don't think the previous version (2.90) did that.

Does anyone know of any specific bugs for this particular combination (250W and 3.10)?

SW v3.10 on nuvi 250W

I updated my nuvi 250W to software version 3.10 several weeks ago, and have encountered no difficulties.

I'm not sure what "map scale" everyone is talking about. I see one at the lower left of my screen when viewing 2D maps. But it's so small it's unreadable while driving.

Only odd thing I've noticed is my unit's insistence that I take the route it suggests. It seems to me that, in the past, the unit simply complied and calculated a new route when I took a different route than suggested. While on a long trip last week, the voice prompted me for m-i-l-e-s to get back on the route it picked. It got so annoying, I had to turn off the sound. Not sure whether that had ANYthing to do with v3.10, though. I just never noticed such behavior before I upgraded.

updating firmware without webupdater

copy the file GUPDATE.GCD to the garmin folder on your gps then reboot . . .

Thought that was what "Detour" was for...

Go to the Garmin site and install the Webupdater on your computer. Then use it to update your GPS.

Nuvi 200w Sound and Icon Locations

Just started to support site and received the Camera database. Got some cool sounds and Icons but in what directory are these to be placed so they are used with the databases (POIs) that have been installed: ie: Speed Cameras, Speed Traps and Red Light Camera locations? Thanks for any assistance. Never getting another ticket again!

Pois

I emailed you some information for custom pois using your contact tab.Hope it helps.

Sound file format

Does the Nuvi 200w support MP3 sound? If not, maybe posting the sound files in both formats may help. I'll try to find a converter program and see if that works...

No the 200 w does not

No the 200 w does not support mp3 but you can use wav files for the voice alerts. You can as listed on the info I sent do your own by using http://www.research.att.com/~ttsweb/tts/demo.php just type in what you want the alert to say and follow the instructions to save the file.

200 & mp3 files

My 260W uses WAV files. I expect the 200W does too.
