I have downloaded and ran Garmin Updater twice. It gets to 47% and I get an error. Then it closes.
What is wrong??

I have downloaded and ran Garmin Updater twice. It gets to 47% and I get an error. Then it closes.

Possible memory over load
It's possible you have insufficient memory to load the new software.
Attach your GPS to your laptop.
Click on "my computer" and find your device.
Right click on it and select properties.
See how much free space you have.
If it looks like your memory is full, move some non essential files to a folder on your computer, such as vehicles.
Vehicles are about 1M each and take up a lot of space. You really only need one or two vehicles on your device at a time. You can also move some of the other languages not used.
Again make sure you save these to a folder in case you want to put them back on your device.
Then try the webUpdater again.
After it successufully loads, you can then put the files removed back on. provided there is still room.
I keep my custom POI's on the SD card. I can always look them up using the Extras key.

If you were doing this yesterday, I noticed that Garmin's website was down for a while so maybe it's related to that.
