I have sort of figured out how to create POI files on my PC and then inport or install them on my Zumo.
I would like to have mapsource be able to utilize these POI's but can't figure out how to get mapsource to utilize them.
I can make mapsource create POI's but can't figure out how to make it use POI's it did not create.
Any help would be appreciated.
.
If the Custom POI files are in the CSV format, then you will need to convert them to a GPX file in order for MapSource to read them. Then you can open them directly in MapSource.
You can use POI Edit to convert them. www.poiedit.com
no conversion needed
If you are importing them from the GPSr no conversion is needed, from the PC follow the directions from Motorcycle Mama
Garmin 38 - Magellan Gold - Garmin Yellow eTrex - Nuvi 260 - Nuvi 2460LMT - Google Nexus 7 - Toyota Entune NAV
Problem Solved
Duh! Had a brain fart. Just had to simply open the gpx file while a map was open. Mapsource added the POI's to the currently opened map.
Thanks for your input.
