Can Nuvi 360 show POI's that are preloaded on maps as you're driving?

I have a Nuvi 360 and noticed that the only POI's that show up on the screen (e.g. gas stations, stores, etc- not streets or neighborhoods) are the ones i added to favorites, and not the preloaded POI's. Any way to get the ones that came with Nuvi to show up during routine navigation like the Magellans do?

I think that KEA was asking

I think that KEA was asking about preloaded POI's not custom ones. (Is that correct?) If so, they should show up as you are driving. If not, go to Map setting option and choose most detail. If you have a low detail setting that may be the reason why they aren't showing up.

However, custom POI's (like the one's you download and add from this website) will not show up on map unless they are:
1) Added to favorites
2) a destination you are navigating to

wjcaruso, thanks for the reply. My nuvi 360 doesn't show the poi's that came factory preloaded, regardless of map detail setting. The POI's I've added to my favorites always show up.

It would be nice if the poi's did show up. While I exchanged a magellan 6000t for my Nuvi because I didn't care for the interface and the Nuvi was sized for walking use, I really liked the way I could touch a poi on the screen and the info came up. When in new cities, that would be extremely helpful and keep from taking so much time in searching for what I want.

thanks for the info JM. I was a little disappointed that garmin didn't show poi icons in normal nav mode, as Magellan and I think tom tom have it. I will ask tech support at Garmin if there's any possibility and report back.

For some reason I got the

For some reason I got the POIs I loaded to show up as an icon on my screen while I was driving around! I have my Map Detail set to Most and I did not have a destination programmed into the unit. I was just driving around with the View Map feature.

When I look under the View Map feature now, I see the my POI icon when I zoom in fairly close, so this may be a reason why some don't see their POI's. maybe?

Nuvi 350 with POI on Screen

I have my Nuvi 350 set to most and then when I went to map view, I hit the zoom button until I say the POI icons.

POI on My 350

Preloaded POI only show up on my 350 when I'm zoomed into the 120' or 200' range and have selected highest detail on maps.
