Hi, when I create a custom POI using excel comma separated value... in my nuvi 350, the adress info on the display screen is so small. On the POI that came with the gps, the adress info has a much bigger font than my custom POI. How can I change the font in my custom POI?
Hi, when I create a custom POI using excel comma separated value... in my nuvi 350, the adress info on the display screen is so small.
To be strictly accurate, you can't access the address fields, using .csv input to POI Loader, only the description field. You would have to use .gpx input to do that. You'll know when you've succeeded, because the word Contact will appear above the address info.
However, the Nüvi 3xx series is unusual, in that it renders markup on Page 1 (since, unlike most Garmin devices, it only has one page!). So, you could try adding some markup to column 4 of your csv file:-
something like this:
-175.0,35.0,"Test Poi","This is <font size=+3 color=RED>Big and Red</font>"
which I think should work.
The next problem you'll encounter, is that this field is truncated at somewhere between 150 and 250 characters (can't actually remember which!). That's bad enough, but it counts non-displaying characters (such as the font markup) in the count!!
An unofficial description of Garmin's Markup Language is here:
Can you capture some screenshots of your actual problem?
