Nüvi 750 Unit Software version

Garmin site says the latest Nüvi 750 unit software version is 2.30 as of December 28.
I thought I had updated to the version that came out on December 23, and sure enough, my 750 says the software version it has is 2.40.
So Garmin seems to have gone back a version for 750. Does anyone know anything about this?

Sometimes Garmin tracks production with different firmware numbers that have no functional difference for the user. That's why sometimes newer units that come out will have different firmware versions than what is available for download. But again, there's no functional difference.
