Icon Question

Hey guys....i am very new to this gps thing. I was wondering, if i save icon images, are they only for custom POI's or do they show up for the items on the pre-installed maps..
Ex) If i save the McDonalds icon, will it show up on all the McDonalds in my area????

Only for the csv file

The icons only show for the csv file it is named for. mcd.csv & mcd.bmp

so theres no way the icon

so theres no way the icon can work for the locations that are already on the unit right? Just the custom one?

No such thing as a dumb question.

You can't change the built in POIs or their icons.

You could, however, save the locations you are interested in as Favorites and create a Custom POI file out of that. And then you could load a Custom Icon to go along with that file.
