line 11 error

I need a poi file that has all the lowclearance locations . I found a huge list @ http://www.discoveryowners.com/cginfolinks.htm
you can download the zip file and in it is a txt file .
there are 4 files (clear132,129,126,124). Then i learned that i can throw them into excell and convert them to csv files so that the poi loader will put them into my garmin nuvi350 . every time i try it tells me that there is an error on line 11 and it only loads like 10 poi s . excell tells me there is some unsupported data in there when i try to save it . I dont know what to do with it at that point . but i do know there are like over 1000 coordinants there. does anyone know what the error or unsupported data is or have an already converted file with that info in it.

please help

Nope it wasn't you at all,

Nope it wasn't you at all, it was the file. I have put that file into the moderation queue for now until I get it fixed. It looks like some commas were left out.

Miss POI

Thanks RT, I would love that

Thanks RT, I would love that I will send you a copy of the file.

Miss POI

program

does anyone know what program was used to write the code for the garmins . I tryed to open it in
edit+ 2 but its all encoded and unreadable. My idea is that if i can get into the code maybe i could copy and paste the avoidance code and make a new avoidance selection using theese poi's

if you can buy the traffic

if you can buy the traffic thing and it can be told to avoid that why can i just use my own locations ... it has to be possible

.

Are you talking about getting into the Garmin OS?

As far as I know, it can't be (or at least hasn't been) done.

Miss POI

Miss POI, I sent you the corrected file. For some reason there were tabs where all of the commas are to be. Changed all these tabs to commas and changed 'Oct07' to 'OctSeven' to eliminate the 7 mph alert that is caused by the number in the file name.

This one was a challenge ... let me know if it works.

I have the corrected file up

I have the corrected file up now.
Thanks RT.

Regarding the code

Regarding the Garmin OS question... It's a custom OS so we have no knowledge of it. We do know the processor is ARM based so you would be dealing with ARM assembler. Finally I suspect the OS is VxWorks based, but I am not entirely sure. VxWorks is an embedded OS which unlike Windows allows developers to customize anyway they please so it's very popular with embedded products.
