Some reading between the lines on your question:

I assume you are using the Magellan POI editor.

You can't end up with more data in the output .MGLN file than you had in the input .csv file to start with.

First look at the .csv file with a text editor or spreadsheet and see what is actually IN it. Address and phone number are probably not there to begin with.

The fields you mention are the only fields allowed in the output .mgln file. So, even if the input file HAS address or phone number in it, you must move that data around so it shows up in the description field.

The fields in the output .MGLN file are like this:
Name,Latitude,Longitude,Altitude, Description
Anything not included in the first 4 fields must be stuck into "Description".

The program will allow you to designate where each input field should go but there are only 5 choices.
If the input file does not have "Altitude" (most don't), then there are only 4 choices. After you designate name, lat and lon, there is only ONE field left so everything else has to go there.

Address and phone number might be useful to YOU but it is not useful to the UNIT so they don't make space for it. Good customer engineering......NOT!

Hope that helps........and hope it is correct. I'm new to this too, with a 4000 and there are no real instructions to be found anywhere.

The Help file in the POI editor is slightly useful but this program was originally used for another unit and some things in the help file do not apply to the Maestro line.
