I notice in Garmin 350

Does anyone notice that if you have a POI for example the outlet. Then you want to see the nearest outlet on your current location. if you try to select the nearest one base from the miles that the garmin list on the right most column and try to add the total directions. I noticed that they are off.

Currently I'm located at the southern NJ. I tried the DE location which is on the other side of the sea. If I try to go to the location the mileage is huge because the actual drive is I have to go in circle.

Food for tought. I think the mileage was computed on a straigh line between points and not the actual route that it will give you.

When you see the list of POIs or favorites, the mileage listed is "as the crow flies". Once you select the POI or favorite, the unit then calculates the route, and its corresponding mileage.

Yeap, "as the crow flies"

Yeah, I think it would be way too much number crunching for it to calculate a route for each poi that it shows you before you actually select it.
