Google Maps now sends POIs to your TomTom

This is cool! I wasn't aware of it, and wanted to share.

Basically, Google Maps now lets you export any individual POI that you search for, directly to a TomTom device, via TomTom home.

Then, it can be set as a destination, parto of an itinerary, saved as a favorite, etc.:

It seems like a good way to quickly add a single POI, specially very recent ones, that may yet to be added to a POI category. I'll give it a try tonight. mrgreen

The nuvis work fine with transferring POI's from Google Maps. Also works great for POI's and routes from Mapquest, so I'm not sure why you say that Garmin doesn't work well with it?

This is better than TTs

This is better than TTs route planner you can't export to your TT.

Browsers

Works fine with Safari as well. Options: Clarion, Garmin, Insignia, Mio/Navman, Pioneer, TomTom. Works with private addresses as well, not just businesses
