New member.... Me!

Hello, my name is Paul Jaruszewski and I recently joined the POI Factory website. I have a long history with Garmin GPS units, but recently found this site because I bought a Garmin Nuvi 650 and wanted to see what the custom POI situation was all about.

My GPS history is: Garmin G45 - sold, Garmin GPS 2 - sold, Garmin GPS IV or V ? can't remember, but still have it, and Garmin iQue. I seldom use the iQue because of the form factor, but keep it and the bean-bag mount handy.

I am interested in photography and anticipate creating a photo POI csv to share of my favorite photo locations.

Welcome Paul and fellow photographer!

I'll be interested to see your files. I'll have to spend some time later looking over your site. Here's where I keep some photos for public viewing:

Doc,
Your work is incredible also, like they say a picture says a thousand words.

It is nice to have a community filled with such talented artists.

WOW you weren't kiddin'

WOW you weren't kiddin' about the quality. You guys are good! Paul the Yosemite Valley shots are my fav. Man I wish it were easy to tag the photo with the exact lat-lon and have it tied into the POI database. Wouldn't it be nice if you knew you were going to be in the area to plan a trip to see the area live? Then as we drive by one of these that it would alert us with the photo so we could see it on our nuvi's wink

Thanks for the kind words

Thanks for the kind words regarding my photography. I am having fun with the Nuvi, and my wife won't even let me play with it till Christmas! Between now and then I am going to figure out how best to mount it in my Mini and how to get the POI information squared away.

I was pleased to find the movie star location database. I be the family will have a fun afternoon shooting up to Los Angeles and driving around on our private "Star Tour." We have lived in SoCal forever and have never taken one of those tours.
