Cool, I locked up the 650.

I was using the Nuvi 650 today and managed to lock it up.

I pressed the bottom right button to pop up the turn list just as we missed a turn and the Nuvi went to recalculate a route. I wonder if it was just a fluke or if it is reproducible. I'll have to try it again.

Another oddity, in the city headed home, as the first turn the Nuvi wanted us to turn left which was the wrong way down a one way street. OK. We turned right and made several more turns to head out of the city. The Nuvi never recalculated, even though it knew we weren't on its route. It only worked again when we intercepted the route.

Anyone else had this happen? The Nuvi just not recalculating? Seems not good. Been happy with the Nuvi every other time.

I crashed mine once

I had a bad address once; heading to a restaurant and the road just ended. According to my Nuvi 350, we were almost there. So we stopped for a few minutes to discuss where to go eat instead. We had passed several nice-looking places on the way and just decided to go to one of them instead. I did a 3-point turn and started back. The map orientation did not change. It was showing us as going backwards. The map was scrolling upwards and the voice prompts were going "In .1 miles, arrive at xxx", "In .2 miles, arrive at xxx", "In .5 miles, arrive at xxx." Each time getting longer and longer. I had not cancelled the destination and was amused by this. And I just thought I would let it go for a while to see what would happen. After about a mile of this, the screen froze and in another 10 seconds or so, it just shut itself off.
