Door County Wisconsin

We've been camping nearly every year in Peninsula State park for over 20 years, so I know the area pretty well. While perusing my Nuvi 200, I noticed that not only was much of the POI data out of date for most of Door County, many of the restaurants that had correct names and addresses, were way off the actual coordinates, sometimes by several miles. The addressing locations for Fish Creek is particularly bad. I caught a couple of posts suggesting that there might be some interest in POI data for Door County. I've been working on a restaurant file, but I don't want to step on anyone's toes if they are already doing this. I should have everything north of Sturgeon Bay completed by the end of the weekend (I'm not sure I want to do Sturgeon Bay, I don't spend a lot of time there). So, what do you folks think? Should I keep going and post what I have? Or should I be working with someone?

After that ones done I was planning to work one up with attractions like parks, historical sites, lighthouses, camping, etc. I'm not ready to tackle general lodging or shopping. Maybe down the road.

Door Cty WI

Can't speak for anyone else... but I for one would appreciate having the info your working on.
DW and I have been going to Door Cty for quite a while and love it. We live in the middle of the state of WI.

Restaurants, campgrounds, b&b's, would all be welcome info.

Sign me up when you get the file.

I'm taking a motorcycle trip

I'm taking a motorcycle trip up there over the 4th and just got my Zumo 450 this weekend. You can bet I'm grabbing this POI file! Thanks.

Just returned from Sister Bay

We found your 2 files to be more accurate than the built in ones. Watch Cherry St. in Ephraim. We were routed up a set of steps because the map has the dead end street going through. Not hard to see the error tho.

We just found those same

We just found those same steps last week! I figured the Nuvi 680 must have known we were in a 4x4, so it was a short cut...

. . . could be . . .

Add a restaurant to your Door County POI

We just ate at a new place in Sister Bay called "Pasta Vino". It's on the lower lever of Country Walk in Sister Bay. It's Italian and very good. A number of choices at $10.95 which is reasonable for Door County. It's hard to find so I took a lat, long reading by the front door. There is a parking lot where I took the reading. It's on the end of the lower level. The information:

Pasta Vino
Country Walk Mall
Unit 25
Country Walk Lane
Sister Bay, WI 54234

-87.12576, 45.18424

Please add this if you can.
