Error in your adress

Did you mentionned it was an adress from a poi that you created. Probably that's the reason. Maybe a little error in the format of your poi file.

I don't see anything who can give those such of major error in adress. Did you try with another real adress in Greenvale NY ? Why you add one from poi file if you have already that adress from the unit database himself?

Seems to give you a conflict in adress reading and could be the reason why the unit is going to proceed in recalculate process.

Remove the adress you added or created as poi file and try with the one already inside the unit as default into the database. You will be very surprise if it work.

Also it could be a good idea if you give us that adress in Greenvale NY , we will simulate for you to see if any problem but i don't think so.

Nothing wrong with Mapping V8 who can give you a 1478 miles of error. That is to much to be real.

Best regards

I had a problem with mine in Nashville on I40 rencently. The Screen directions are correct but the voice says something different.

Voice versus top reading

It could happen but not very often and it's a firmware problem and not a mapping malfunction.

Best regards

It has happened to me

It has happened to me with my C330 with the 2008NT update. The voice prompt told me to turn right when the map arrow clearly showed continuing straight which was correct. I haven't checked to see if it happens with my NEW C340 but I will today !
I informed both NavTeq and Garmin and got receipt messages back from them !

Maybe you GPS is saying that driving 347 miles around NY is LIKE driving 1478 miles elsewhere!! LOL

Error in your adress

Thanks for the Info But The Poi File is ok and even if you dont use the file and just put the address in you get the same thing if you want to try it in your gps and simmulate the route to see how many miles it is from where your at and then check milage else where to see how many miles it is like from map source or map quest here is the address

100 forest dr,greenvale,ny, the zip is 11548
