Magellan Maestro 2.36 update

Goodness David, I don't know why it is not there, I just checked and it is gone. I downloaded it a couple of days ago and my unit works fine. It improved a couple of things but otherwise, nothing big. When they first posted it, It would not allow you to open it for downloading. I called support and it went off of their site within an hour. It was back on late that same day and that is when I downloaded it.
To determine if in fact you did successfully downloaded it, go to-user options-system settings-next-product information- and under firmware version label will be the version you have installed.

I just heard from Magellan tech support update 2.36 is still in the testing phase, please check back later.
This sounds like weasel words for 2.36 was not ready for release when we posted it, please stand by for 2.36b. We’ll just wait and see.

I have been checking and it is now on the site. I downloaded and installed the 2.36 update today. Couldn't notice many interface or setting changes (just a few), but it seems stable. However, I've only had it installed for 30 minutes.

I downloaded and installed the 2.36 Fireware Update last week. I have had no problems with the update. Here's what is says at the above URL.

New Features - Arrival / Distance / Time Remaining

Easily toggle between arrival time, distance to destination, and time to destination on map screen when routing

Voice Command and Control

Added unlocking for Voice Command and Control on Maestro 4040 (Unlock fee required to access this feature - more information)

When you went to upload the new firmware did you follow the instruction? I can not get them to work for me?? I get an error...Could you please give me the steps you used?
