Does anyone know how many custom poi's you can put in the C330 and if you use the SD Card will custom poi's also work from the card

Walmart will have them for 128

Walmart is selling C330's for 128 on Friday. I think even without the New Chip it is hands down a great GPS and for under $130 a great 2nd unit.

I have not found out How many POIs will fit yet..and yes you can load them from an SD card into the Unit...Read some of the older posts here for how..

Actually, I believe that you can't load POIs from the SD card, the SD card is only for secondary maps.

The C330 has about 670MBs of internal space. The maps take most of it, but there is still enough for a couple thousand of them

asianfire is correct....

... in that it can't read other than map data from the card.

Actual poi file size will determine "how many" poi can be loaded.

poi's on a 330

sorry to say the sd card on the 330 is useless! I have over 18000 poi's on my unit. It gets overloaded when I try to put more on.

That's not THAT many POIs

But how many BMP Icons do you also have ???? They take up memory far more than the POI .csv files do !

330 memory

You are right mrkenfl: I removed most of the bmp icons because of the memory the consume. I felt having more poi's was more important than the bmp icons.
