I believe Callahan's Little Ferry in Little Ferry, NJ has closed.

What Is A West Virginia Hot Dog?

A true West Virginia hot dog is a heavenly creation that begins with a wiener on a soft steamed bun. Add mustard, a chili-like sauce and top it off with coleslaw and chopped onions and you have a symphony of taste that quite possibly is the reason that many transplanted West Virginians can never really be happy living anywhere else. Different parts of West Virginia have variations on the theme but the common elements are sweet, creamy coleslaw and chili. Anything else is just not a true West Virginia hot dog!

Thanks for the info BUT, all except the Yum Yuym location were already in the system.

In the future, pleas include the co-ordinates if possible. If this is not possible, then at least make sure they are not already there, it would save me a LOT of time since I have to find the co-ordinates then enter them only then I find out they are already there. If, at least, they are not duplicates then I am mot wasting my time.

I'm kind of a "ride to eat, eat to ride" kind of guy on my Harley. And I'm always up for good dogs.

Anyway I'd recommend either of these two places, and have eaten at both several times. By the way both are shown on the Garmin.

I can only recommend the Detroit style coney at Mega, which is a Koegel's natural casing dog with chili, onions, & mustard. Just the right amount of toppings so you can pick it up and eat it without making too much mess. I don't like when there is so much toppings that you feel like you have to eat it with a fork.

They also sell a Flint style coney, but IMO those are best left to dogs. lol

Several of my other favorites are already listed. Lafayette Coney Island, Famous Hot Weiner.

My absolute favorite is Ted's in Buffalo. Natural casing (really can't be a good dog unless it's natural casing and you get the snap) Sahlen's hot dogs grilled over real hardwood charcoal. And their special sauce is awesome. Doesn't get any better than this!!

Hot Dogs #1, my favorite is Pink's in LA.

the (in)famous "Lucky Dog" hotdog vendors all over the French Quarter in New Orleans. They are ubiquitous, but one is on the corner of Conti and Bourbon.
