Creating Dialable Phone Numbers

I'm creating business POI's for my Garmin C550 and have just about everything figured out but one detail.

Does anyone know if there is a special format or procedure to use to make the phone numbers in the POI list dialable (my own word) directly from the listing? The installed POI's have that function and it would be very useful to me to just be able to push the DIAL button on the GPS itself.

Thanks for any help.

Answer: No.You can have

Answer: No.

You can have dial-out numbers from traditional waypoint files (like a GPX), but not from POI's.

Placing phone numbers in any column for a CSV POI file absolutely did not work.

Here's a discussion thread that covers this topic:

Since then, I noticed that the new beta version of POI Loader (2.4.0) mentions adding support for contact information and address information that can be specified in a GPX (.gpx) file.

I haven't seen any posts that give test results with this new feature. It would be interesting to see if the new POI Loader would make a dialable phone number from a GPX file that has properly formatted phone data.
