nuvi Speed Thresholds for Zoom Changes

One thing that really bugs me about the nuvi 2xx series is the lack of a User's Manual. The Quick Start Guide is very basic and the user is left to trial and error and websites like this to learn the features.

One thing I am still figuring out, after having my nuvi 200 for 6 months, is the speed thresholds at which it zooms in and out. I have pretty much figured out the mid range (zoom out at 58mph, zoom in at ~45mph) but am wondering if there is any documentation that indicates other zoom thresholds or features that I might not have stumbled upon.

Manuals

Have you gone to Garmin.com and downloaded their manual? Or looked thru the help files on the unit? The paperwork that comes with the unit is minimal, but info is out there.

Garmin doesn't have a manual for the 2xx

Garmin doesn't have a manual for the 2xx on their website. Only the Set Up and Go! booklet that came with the GPSr.

I wouldn't for one minute expect it to answer your question -- but isn't there a manual shipped on the unit itself (as a .pdf file)? Garmin did this with the Nüvi 310/360. (The date on the file is 1/1/1601, so it was obviously quite a while in the writing smile

Nope. No manual for the 2xx. Only the Get Up and Go booklet.
