But I did fetch the owners manual and saved it to my computer, and gave it a once over.

And having no rent helps...but, ending up with no rent meant becoming an orphan last December and inheriting a 1/3 share of the house I live in...

i am getting a 750 early next week. its been shipped

I spoke to Garmin on an unrelated matter on Fri 10/12 and was told they had not arrived from Taiwan and would ship on the 24th. I also received an email from TVnav.com saying they are not shipping until 10/24

kle, rereading my post it sounds a bit accussatory, I did not doubt you, just was a bit upset with Garmin, if they did not tell me the truth or left their staff uninformed.

Just spoke to a Supervisor at Garmin, and was told that no 750's have been shipped yet. He was very forthcoming actually telling me the original shipping date was to be 10/3 but because of a "quality control" issue (a bit troublesome) that he would not elaborate on they will not ship until 10/24. This person could also be wrong about this info, but it might be worth checking with your vendor and looking at your Credit Card account.

Edit: Called my vendor because I was concerned abot the quality control issue and they confirmed that had been told the samething but in the past quality control has mean't "not enough boxes" to ship in or "some piece of paper that need to be inserted was not available" etc....

Please inform us where you bought this from and the cost, I cant wait to get the Nuvi 770.

Well, Asian Fire I kind of thought the same thing, then I saw Rayzers signature line and I figure he is selling the government bags of hammers and toilet seats so he can buy his new Nuvi! LOL

When I made the call to Garmin I asked only about the 750 and it seems they gave me info only about the 750, There are many posts on GPS Passions from those that have purchased and are using 760's (one got his at a Circuit City 2 days ago)

The sales rep told me the 760 arrival date was not in their computer yet, as of 2 days ago. Not sure about the 760 and 770.
Keith, the 750 was $599 plus tax.

tvnav.com has the 750 preorder at $459.00

give me a week and i will telll you where mine is from. cant say right now. this much i can say thoug, i dont have my 550 anymore. i guess it hasnt been shipped yet but will be shipped on monday
