Magellan Maestro 4040 won't load or convert POI files

My Maestro 4040 came with a POI editor but I have two problems.

1. The manual says it has a POI manager, which I assumed had an editor and an installer. I can't find any installer.

2. when I download csv poi files, the editor always claims there are problems with the lat and lon of some of the files and it only loads about 70% of the files in the csv file so that I can convert them to magellan files.

Then when I convert them, I can't figure out how to load them into my 4040. Can anyone help?

Here are a couple things to check:

Make sure you select Longitude for column 1 and Latitude for column 2. People often get the order reversed.

You also need to modify some files before importing to ensure each name is unique. On versions of Magellan POI Editor I've used, it would discard any duplicate names.

Magellan POI Manager

I believe that the poi editor is referred to as the Magellan poi manager. You only need the poi editor to import and upload,,
Correct me if I'm wrong..
