Downloading Audio files

New to this forum and maybe it is here but cannot locate: trying to download mp3 file from audio file
list but unable to save as, or save etc as those choices are "greyed" and when file opens, it opens
as a quick time file which I can't seem to save.

Has anybody got any suggestions? Would I assume I
have some setting on my pc incorrect and if so what?

Thanks

You didn't mention your operating system or which IE you're using, so I'm taking a long shot.

It appears your Internet Explorer's "Content Advisor" is enabled. For step-by-step instructions on how to disable it, click on this 'Microsoft Content Advisor' link.

Please post if this link solves your problem. There are more possibilities if it doesn't.

Right click

Try right clicking on the link instead of left clicking.

He says it's greyed out

He says the 'Save as...' option is greyed out. If this is the case, it appears he tried the right-click 'save' option and it isn't available (greyed out).

Right Click on sound file

RT, I believe that glamis999 is trying to "save as" out of QuickTime ... this is greyed out due to having the free, not Pro, version.

I think MM is correct in that glamis999 is not right clicking on the sound file, while still on this site, and selecting "Save target as"

You may be right

You may be right but I read it as he read our previous threads and is trying to use the right-click option; and when he does, the 'save as..' is greyed out. When this didn't work he did a left-click and the file opens (which it will) with Quicktime (if mp3 is set in the 'File Type' window to open with Quicktime). Like I said, with the information he provided, I'm taking a long shot. I may be broke in the morning, but I'm putting my money on his Browser's "Content Advisor" is enabled, thereby disabling the 'Save as... option.

either way ... glamis999 should have a solution!

RT - the tip for me was the "Save as" instead of "Save target as" (which is what is displayed when one right-clicks on the file). If glamis999 stated "save target as" is greyed out, then my money would be with you as well! The post is slightly confusing as written - you may be onto something ....

The most important thing is that glamis999's problem should be solved!

.

RT, you are probably correct. And it sounds like your solution should solve it.

RT, you are right on the money. You're Good!
Thanks and thanks to all who responded. I had left clicked, right clicked and nothing could be saved or save target as etc because Content Advisor had been activated because of my kid's activities.
Again Thanks
