Does anyone have a simple way to tone down the MP3 file I have downloaded from this site? I cant remember the name of the file as I had to change it before I used POIloader to load it on my SD card. I don't want to turn down the volume of the GPSr, but the Mp3 alert is about 10 times the volume of my cute little English gal that gives me turn instructions.
Any suggestions?

If you go to tools, volume, you can tweak the relative volume of the Voice and MP3s. ...or get a quieter file.
Cheers.

I guess I'll get a quieter file, since
lowering the volumn in the tools section must only change the volumn within the MP3 listings for music and not the ones placed in the POI traffic light files. Those stayed very loud no matter what I did.
You can walk a horse to water, but a pencil has to be led.
I would like to know the answer

You will have to change the actual file, or re-record.
Audacity as mentioned will work...and it's free.

Look for the "Gain" adjustment in Audacity, or wherever, and lower it (-). I had to do mine twice before I was happy
