I guess this counts as a good start to the new year. Brought my wife home from the hospital today. She spent 4 nights there due to "congestive heart failure". Bleh... It's good to have her home again.

Need to take the car in this morning for minor repair. Gas filler door won't always open.

No snow, but very strong winds.

We had 3 inches of rain yesterday !

I got back home before the big storm comes in tonight. Hope it's like the one we do last night.

Right now I feel like I'm in the middle of an inverted Oreo cookie, with the white stuff (Snow storm) occurring yesterday and another set for Friday. I always liked the chocolate cookie part best.

for another week

Back to the snow and cold again.

Around a foot predicted for Friday night. Grrrrrrrrrrr!

Thirteen inches of snow last Wednesday, the wet heavy stuff that's almost impossible to get through with the snowblower. Then 3 to 4 more inches today. And now, a winter storm warning and blizzard warning through Saturday with 7 to 14 more inches predicted and high winds with gusts up to 50 mph. This is then followed by several days of sub zero temps with wind chills as low as -50°. I just hope the power stays on!

On top of that, I came down with Covid on Monday ... makes the cleanup from this even harder. Can't do anything about it because all the doctor offices and clinics are closing down due to weather and I wouldn't be able to get there even if they were open. Had a video visit with Dr. this morning and he thinks I will be OK since I am up to date on shots and the symptoms are beginning to lessen. Oh well, such is life!

It's been cold and I ended up with a cold.

…better than -44C yesterday morning.

Still waiting for the guy to come and clean the snow away from the driveway. Didn't show yesterday and all is frozen today.

on the windmill here today, until COWs start back up again... they are my go-to for keepin' it turning!

The guy has to come today and use a bar to break the ice to finish the driveway snow removal. Now he wants more money because it will take longer.
