Be nice if...

Be nice if Garmin gave us a new map instead of the zillion new versions of Garmin Express.

RayJay is right

Yes, the "Launch Garmin Express when your computer starts up" is again checked upon installation, so an uncheck is required for those of us who hate running unnecessary background tasks.

Maybe I missed it earlier, but I also see a 3rd check box option in the General Settings: "Automatically open Garmin Express when a Garmin device is connected." Is this new?

At least only one of the three boxes is checked upon installation.

Thanks

Just noticed this with the new map update. Updated GE on my Windows 11 laptop with no issues.

confused redface

If you want GE to start when

If you want GE to start when you plug a device in, it has to be running in the background. If that is not checked, it is grayed out. Seems like the only way to do that is to have it start when Windows starts. Therefore, all three need to be checked.

Thanks
