There are new software updates for the 7500 & the 2730.
The newest version for the 7500 is 5.1
The newest version for the 2730 is 7.1
Here is what Garmin said about both these updates:
> * Corrected postal code search issue that caused some results to be missed
> * Corrected 'Eject' operation on Macintosh computers
> * Added support for traffic in Canada
> * Updated position of Garmin Europe facility
> * Other minor corrections and improvements
Has anyone downloaded and used these latest updates yet ?
The updates are also for the 7200 and I presume the 2720 also.
I have installed the new updates but have not the chance to work with them yet as I'm still sitting in Baltimore waiting for my next load.
The update IS for the 2720 also, but I haven't gotten around to applying it yet.
I'm in Baltimore too !
I'm hoping they did something to fix the way the traffic is displayed. Hopefully it reverted back to the "OLD" way of shwing conditions on all routes around you instead of just the route you will be traveling.
Garmin always has that litle secret "catch-all" phrase of "Misc. other corrections" but never explain what they are.
I downloaded the update for the 7200 and it upgraded with no problems. I took a trip to Rocky Mount N.C and everything seemed fine, now if I could only figure out how to get the new maps and how they install, I,ll be in like flynn. Here in Southeastern Virginia they have been building new roads and byways that are not on my present 7200. So when you start on an old H,way and then run into a new section all you keep getting is Recalculating Recalculating. Its been happening so much that I now take a copy of MapQuest just in case.
I'm at the TA.
Still waiting on a load so I can find out what's new and improved for the 7200 update.
