routing

Just love using my Garmin for longer road trips. It does excellent routing compared to google maps or waze, which really only do a one or two stop trip. However, I generally use Waze and Garmin side by side because Waze does provide real-time information about road hazards and current up-to-date points of interest.

about 16 years, I went back to having a vegetable garden. Note to self--plate determinate tomatoes next year! The ones this year are much taller than I remember ever planting.

Took the bike for a ride

Went from Florida up the east coast to Acadia National Park then to Niagra Falls. The return trip was through Tennessee to visit a friend. The trip took 16 days.

Ahhh...

back home! Loved the visit but Home Sweet Home is hard to beat.

Won't be taking a long trip this week

Ida shut down most of the fuel production in the Gulf of Mexico. Some gas pipelines are also shut down. Gas will be limited and prices will be high for a while. I plan to stay near to home until things start returning to normal.

My thoughts and prayers are with those affected by Ida as well as those whose lives have been touched by the pandemic.
