Installed ok

7.7.0 installed normally. I haven't done anything with it yet, but it installed and shows the correct level. And I remembered to turn off the option of having GE run in the background.

Thanks

Thanks for the GE update alert.

7.7.1

I doubt that we On-The-Road Garmin device folks will need to know or use this, but the Garmin Forum users are reporting that 7.7.1 is available for Windows but is not being offered as an Update. To use 7.7.1 if earlier versions (7.7.0?) are giving you a problem, you will need to uninstall your current version from your PC, then download and install GE from Garmin's website.

For most to all of us, let's just sit tight and wait for the next update and ignore 7.7.1 unless you're experiencing a problem.

The GPS updates fine over

The GPS updates fine over wifi. I had been hoping to update it with the computer.

I finally got it to work by allowing the GPS to enter into USB mode on its own instead of allowing USB mode early.

Thanks.

7.7.1.0 installed fine without doing uninstall

Perfectly smooth Win10 install using the message that an update was available. Previous was 7.7.0.0.

Confirming no issue with 7.7.1.0 install

Feeling a bit adventurous, and seeing that John from PA had no issue with 7.7.1.0, I opened GE where an update was reported as available. The download and install of 7.7.1.0 was accomplished without uninstalling 7.7.0.0 and without incident.

Before writing my most recent reply, above, I let 7.7.0 search for updates and it said I was up to date. After reading the two previous posts, I went back, and yes indeedy, now an auto-popup occurs telling me a new version is available.

I wonder if it's just the Windows version or if the Macs now have a 7.7.1 as well.

Thx for the heads up

Installed v.7.7.1.0 on two computers.
