I just noticed that Google Earth was updated on my laptop today at about 5 p.m. EDT. No heads-up, just got downloaded. The new version is 7.3.3.7699 (I don't know what the old version was). With absolutely no scientific research on my part, my only observation is that it seems quicker. From double click on its icon, it's up and ready in three seconds. FWIW, I do have an SSD disk, but still, that three seconds seems considerably faster than the old version.

Installed years ago but never used it. I just got back into Google Earth when I saw your post.
It shows this:
A new version of Google Earth Pro is available!
Install the latest version for free.

My GE updated itself and now the link from BaseCamp to GE no longer works, when I have time I'll look at why, but if someone beats me to it please post the solution here

Look at the file and make sure the .exe name didn't change. I think GoogleearthPro is the new name and the name has to be just GE work with BaseCamp.

Nope
It's named the same as before, googleearth.exe and that worked with BaseCamp previously having gone to the cmd prompt and entering
"C:/Program Files/Google/Google Earth Pro/client/googleearth.exe" /RegServer
Trying that this time doesn't have any effect
Edit: forgot this forum software removes the backward slash mark so I've used forward slash, the only one that should be forward is in front of RegServer

Apparently, View In Google
Apparently, View In Google Earth isn't in BaseCamp for Mac, anymore.

Yes sorry
The latest BaseCamp versions don't have it, it's why I've stuck with 4.6.2 on Windows
Possibly no point in doing so now if I can't get GE to integrate. Might try reverting to an earlier GE version unless I can get a workaround
