Maybe you can share the last place your GPS took you and if you encountered any problems, or if you used it to seek out special places to go (like Thai Food, ice cream shoppes, etc.).

I hadn't heard of Windmill software (assumed topic) but the title is what this post made me think of.
Scenic countryside uncluttered by white giants is getting harder to find, and the old sense of wide open spaces is fading fast. I think it's a big deal whereas others just shrug at the continual obliteration of nature, branded as "green" now.
Search for: wind energy backlash, etc.

Highway 40
Last week we tried BC's secret highway, Highway 40 from Summerland, BC to Princeton, BC. It's marked Princeton-Summerland road, but there is a Highway 40 sign at one end.
35km of decent gravel road fairly well maintained with only a couple of huge puddles. The 90 km trip takes about 2 hours one way, about 20 minutes longer than the 127 km if you take Highways 3, 3A and 97.
