Judging by the last 4 years (2016 to 2019) January release dates were always in January. We are already are on January 31. and no mention of the map update.

I'm wondering if Here (map provider) has decided to cut back map releases to only two yearly. Perhaps people are no longer using GPS's and relying on their phones.

No problem! Like multiple times before....Garmin was waiting until we got back from vacation!

Well according to this history http://www.poi-factory.com/node/42417 for the last 4 years it has been at the end of January - I guess we've blown past that now... waiting, waiting, waiting.

FWIW, HERE rolled out an update for its North America map on iOS last week.

I am not even worried about a new map update, how much information can they change. The original map on my 205W worked just fine untill it died of old age and I threw it into the trashcan last week. All my units have the latest updates in them so they are good for anyplace I want to go.

I swear I have not seen any updates to the maps in my area for YEARS ! Even though I know roads have been extended and some new roads have been built over the years.

Yes, last 3 updates didn't update many areas in my region. That's frustrated. Again, it's Feb 2020 now, but still not seeing any new signs of new map of Garmin. C'mon Garmin.

I was driving in my own community recently and turned on to a side street. I immediately got the warning "Driving wrong way on street!" My heart jumped into my throat, and looking around, I could see cars parked on both sides of the street facing in opposite directions. So I was pretty sure I was on a two way street and driving in the correct lane. Other than almost giving me cardiac arrest, everything turned out OK and my safety was not in jeopardy.

As it turns out, our city has been changing many long standing one way streets back to two way, and the maps are not keeping up with the changes. The particular street I turned on was changed to two way at least 2 years ago. In this case, it was not a safety risk (turning onto a two way street), but if the situation had been reversed, where the street had changed from a 2 way to a 1 way, I could have caused a bad accident because of the outdated map. (I know, I know … read the signs and don't rely on the GPS.) But sometimes you can miss a sign, especially when next to or behind a high profile vehicle. Mistakes happen, and out of date maps can increase the possibility of making a mistake.

My guess is the first week of March 2020
