Downloading POIs on Garmin 660

When I download POI files with the POI loader, I am given the option of loading to the SD card or to the Nuvi. I have been loading to the SD card and later it loads to the Nuvi. Am I doing this correctly? It seems to me I am wasting space on the SD card.

If you want them on your Nuvi, it would save a step to direct POI loader to the Nuvi. If you want them on the SD card, after you insert your SD card in the Nuvi and it asks if you want to load them to the unit, answer yes and then no. It will leave them on the SD card and not ask again.

The only disadvantage to loading them on your GPSr directly is available space. If you have downloaded a lot of items (mp3, etc), then you might not have enough space.
