Possible to Get Custom 'Where To' Icon in Zumo 660/65

I've been using the EPEv6.04 with my Zumo 660 and it works well in putting some custom POIs in my Zumo. Problem is, I would like to have a .gpi file show up in my main Where To with an icon. I read that if you have two .bmps files with the same name as the final .gpi file (but with 1.bmp and 2.bmp) it should be picked up, but I cannot get it to work. I feel like this is some sort of limitation to this GPS and that either it is possible via some sort of magic or it's not possible at all. I've searched and cannot find anyone with a 660/65 who have mentioned they can get this to work.

Cru_jones contacted me via email. I sent him a test rest_areas.gpi file to show him that it is possible.
Then sent him a screenshot of my EPE Preferences screen, instructions on the Where To icon size (64x64) and colors (24 bit w/transparency) and instructions on how to Save As a Garmin file (*.GPI).
He discovered he was using the wrong icon size and colors. He is up and running now on his Where To screen.
