Garmin 50LMT "Learning?"

I noticed a year or so ago that when I stopped for a paper on the way to work, after restarting my car, my 50LMT would show "Work1 - 8 min" in the bar at the top of the unit, although I had no route set. More recently, I've noted that it indicated several other "destinations" that I frequent from certain other locations. If I press the bar, it shows a map with the path higlighted and if I press the insert, it sets up a normal route.
I have not seen any documentation on this feature - I find it kinda cool.

A nuisance for me
I find it kinda cool. DougJ
I was surprised when this showed up on mine (2689).. but it soon became a pain and I turned mine off..

I remember reading about
I remember reading about Trends, but didn;t pay much attention to it. Might be a handy feature sometimes

My aggravation with trends
As I recall.. the annoyance is that while heading "sort of" in the direction of "that" trip the road ahead feature is not active. I like seeing which road is ahead (in that top bar) and not how long to my destination. And once activated.. I could not turn it off.. short of stopping the "trends" altogether.

Don't know about you folks
But if I drive to a place three times, I no longer need the GPS to navigate for me.

Yep ...
I think though the idea is to give you details like traffic etc you might encounter on your normal route.

Not so
But if I drive to a place three times, I no longer need the GPS to navigate for me.
Since 2002 I have driven in the fall from home to 1,000 miles south west of Laredo, Tx into Mexico and then back in the spring. Total distance about 2,800 miles each way.
I still like the reassurance my Garmin gives me along my route.
