Keeping The Windmill Alive - Your Last Trip? – July 2018

In danger of losing your windmill?

Maybe you can share the last place your GPS took you and if you encountered any problems, or if you used it to seek out special places to go (like Thai Food, ice cream shoppes, etc.).

Anything to keep your windmill alive.

This thread will be closed on the last day of the month and a new one will be opened.

Last Trip

Odd one last weekend. Went to Palm Springs from San Diego, a generally 2 1/2 mile trip. The Garmin said 54 minutes. I tried a reset (power down, power up) and re-entered the addresses. Checked and double checked. Same thing. Maybe 52 minutes that second time. Checked on Apple Maps and got the expected 2+ hours.

It wasn't until about 30 mins into the trip that the Garmin GPSr started displaying the correct trip and destination time. Never had that happen before...

Got call from daughter.

Got call from daughter. Blood clot, and repair is remove a rib!
We got back from Oakland, CA last Sunday, after 10 day emergency stay there.
She’s recovering fine now. 660 worked fine. Though I didn’t have the latest Trader Joe’s PIO loaded. Sorry, I was distracted!!!!
