Nuvi 350 Great in Italy

I got an SD card for Italy/Greece and used it in June in Italy. (I note that someone else posted a message on this board that they were going to Italy in June, too.) I drove from Rome to a small hamlet in a remote part of Abruzzo to visit relatives(about 3 hours' travel). It took me right there with no problem. From previous information I had from family here in the U. S., I was told to take a particular exit from the autostrada (turnpike). However, the GPS wanted me to take the previous exit. Unsure of myself, I decided to go with the exit everyone told me to take. After "recalculating" the Nuvi got me to my destination anyway, of course. But inquiries with my relativea in Italy confirmed that the Nuvi was right and was the better route.
I had no occasion to use the POI features during my stay.
Returning to Rome was another experience that made me grateful for my Nuvi. I was supposed to exit at a point at Rome, but traffic made it impossible to get off. So I went to the next exit and found myself in the heart of Rome proper. Maps would have been of no help because streets are poorly marked, if marked at all. Most street names are marked on cornerstones of bulidings which are virtually impossible to see. But my trusty Nuvi got me through traffic to our hotel. We arrived only 10 minutes later than the original predicted time which had been projected three hours prior on the GPS. Unbelievable!
POI ITALY
I am new. Is there a way where after i go to Italy i can share my poi with the group. Is there a way t find out if some people here already have Italy POIs?
Also can someone explain what the red light warnings are?

Welcome malpert!
1) Yes, there are ways that you can share your Italy POI's ... there are a number of threads on this site explaining how to do this.
2) I have not seen any posts with POI's from Italy, but if you start a new Forum topic, I would bet some people would jump in and join you! Maybe another Metro Area project??
3) Red Light and Speed Camera files are designed to warn you of upcoming lights or speed traps. Basically, your GPS unit will display and sound a warning at a predetermined distance when you are approaching one of these items. Again, many threads on this site for more detailed information. Surf around ... this site is LOADED with information!!
