The GPS Store has the Garmin DriveLuxe 51 LMT-S for $249.95 (new, not refurb). If you have been wanting one of these, this is a pretty good price.

I don't need a new GPS but if I did, I would probably still opt for the older DriveLuxe 50 LMTHD refurb and save another $100.

That is a great price for a great GPS. Thank you very much for posting that.

Hold on sales are coming galore for the holidays.. I save a ton of money on gps's last year. Cabelas for one slashed gps prices on Montana's etc.
Garmin DriveLuxe 51 LMT-S GPS Navigator $229.99 MicroCenter
I was in a MicroCenter today and saw a good price in-store for the Garmin DriveLuxe 51 LMT-S. When I got home, I saw an even better price on-line!

New Products Coming
CES is around the corner (which I will be attending) so this is probably the time they'll drop the price to prepare for a replacement. Hoping the newer model is not just a small upgrade like last year. As usual, I will try and post my findings about the new stuff after the show.

I caved in and bought one of these this afternoon. Granted, the $229.99 isn't bad. I noticed a bunch of days ago that the Micro Center in Saint Louis Park MN had an "open box" special for under $190.00. I was himming and hawing and telling myself that I didn't need another Garmin. Then, it dropped to $137.96.
The store is just a few miles from my work. I finished work and drove over there after 3 PM local time. The clerk showed me the box and everything was in there that it comes with. So, I spring for it.
It is charging and updating wirelessly right now. Since it doesn't come with a Traffic Receiver, I might just buy one. I am still on the fence whether I should get a GTM 36 or GTM 60.

Yes, I do have a smartphone and it works very well with that.
I was off work since buying this and spent some time tweaking it. I deleted the non-English voices, keyboards, etc. I also have the custom tabs on the side. Despite all of the other settings seemingly the same, it does route me slightly different than the Nuvi 3597 to work. To its credit, I think it took a slightly better route than the Nuvi 3597 does!

Traffic Trends might be the culprit. It comes on the 3597 checked by Default and it's buried.
