In danger of losing your windmill?
Maybe you can share the last place your GPS took you and if you encountered any problems, or if you used it to seek out special places to go (like Thai Food, ice cream shoppes, etc.).
Anything to keep your windmill alive.
This thread will be closed on the last day of the month and a new one will be opened.
Going for the first entry of the month twice in a row badge!
Nice motorcycle ride on the (locally) famous "Sugarloaf Mountain" tour through Howey in the hills....one of the few places in Florida that have large changes in elevation - broad vistas, and lots of well-paved curvy roads. Watch out for bicyclists though, especially on the blind curves.
Starts in Apopka (route 441 - west on 448, south on 451. Lots of options to return, or go back on route 50)
Put 660mi on rental car did all the highways H-1, H-2 H-3 and most of the county roads, stopped at the tourist attractions and got in a little Geocaching! we had a great time!!

Lovely two day 1300 mile trip through southern Utah and then the Rockies in Colorado.
We'll try our luck there, then maybe head over to Philly Sugar House Casino
Out of the gas panic stricken North Texas to New Mexico. No problems with gas once we left Fort Worth.
This week, I'll still be working from the house until the electricians come by the office to repair/replace the electrical stuff (transformers, etc.) that took a five foot deep swim on the first floor (aka Harvey). In any case, I didn't have to worry about places being short on gas since I used very little.
Down the 5
In search of the nearest shade! Heat records falling like bowling pins.
Back 2 work.
Had a cookout with friends yesterday and had only been to their house while following someone else from a different direction. Veronica (Garmin 2589) showed us a backway there through a housing development. Thought I could find our way home after dark and got lost in cul de sac hell and had to ask Veronica for help to get out.

Last trip was when I moved from Chicago back to Cincinnati! GPS was a big help, as was nav in car and cell phone maps.
Went to Home Depot to catch some of the Labor Day sale.
It's 909. Tomorrow is One After 909. At least that's what my baby tells me.
Finding my way back to the airport after a client meeting.
I need a GPS to make sure I get to "The Windmill" forum instead of "Chit Chat."
this forum. Thank you!
the way of Hurricane Irma!!!
Went up to the Blue Ridge Parkway for some night photography. We thought we might see the Northern Lights, but got some good shots of the Milky Way.
it will just be short trips around town.
Banquet time next weekend - Looking forward to visiting with fellow ToH riders in Cripple Creek, Co
Had to take a wide detour way east of Houston to avoid the traffic. They're doing construction on the interstate and closing several lanes. Add to that accidents and it would be a mess to go the "straight route". At least the tollways were free because of the flooding. On the west end of HOU, they were still full of water.
Yellowstone NP - awesome sights
Washington, DC to Atlanta and back
Just a little jaunt down to the states, about 500km+ round trip for some items my wife needed to have and we had to hit up a certain store that we could only reserve at.
Local car dealer. Interesting playing with the builtin GPS in the loaner - but I bet it costs a fortune to update the maps.
Trip to a Arby's.
Steak bagel. Mmmm.
They run anywhere from $100 to $200 and even higher for some high end luxury cars. You can usually find a used one on eBay, then resell it.
Took a drive with 9 other Miata's taking back roads from Cambridge, MD (on the Chesapeake Bay) to Ocean City, MD (on the Atlantic Ocean). Very pleasant weather and a scenic ride.
