In danger of losing your windmill?
Maybe you can share the last place your GPS took you and if you encountered any problems, or if you used it to seek out special places to go (like Thai Food, ice cream shoppes, etc.).
Anything to keep your windmill alive.
This thread will be closed on the last day of the month and a new one will be opened.

Howey-in-the-hills
Nice motorcycle ride on the (locally) famous "Sugarloaf Mountain" tour through Howey in the hills....one of the few places in Florida that have large changes in elevation - broad vistas, and lots of well-paved curvy roads. Watch out for bicyclists though, especially on the blind curves.
Starts in Apopka (route 441 - west on 448, south on 451. Lots of options to return, or go back on route 50)

hung out at the house
This week, I'll still be working from the house until the electricians come by the office to repair/replace the electrical stuff (transformers, etc.) that took a five foot deep swim on the first floor (aka Harvey). In any case, I didn't have to worry about places being short on gas since I used very little.
Hope you had a nice day off

Labor Day Cookout
Had a cookout with friends yesterday and had only been to their house while following someone else from a different direction. Veronica (Garmin 2589) showed us a backway there through a housing development. Thought I could find our way home after dark and got lost in cul de sac hell and had to ask Veronica for help to get out.

ran down to Galveston for the day Saturday
Had to take a wide detour way east of Houston to avoid the traffic. They're doing construction on the interstate and closing several lanes. Add to that accidents and it would be a mess to go the "straight route". At least the tollways were free because of the flooding. On the west end of HOU, they were still full of water.

It's Arizona!

They run anywhere from $100 to $200 and even higher for some high end luxury cars. You can usually find a used one on eBay, then resell it.
