Garmin Anatomy

There is a little hole (indention) on the front of my Nuvi 2455LMT and I don't know what it is. Is it a mic or something. Because I think my unit doesn't support that feature.

Mine too

My 2797 has one on the lower left of the front fascia, I think it is the microphone for the voice command system.

Microphone

Even though your 2455 may not support voice navigation or hands free calling, other models in the 24xx series do have these features. Garmin likely uses the same bezel with microphone opening for all models in the series.

Bluetooth phone pairing?

Is there a Bluetooth pairing option in the menus that would allow you to use this as a hands-free speaker phone?

Ditto above

As bdhsfz6 suggested, Garmin as others make things with differing features, a separate bezel without the mic opening would just add cost to that model when they already have off the shelf components that do the job.

If a passenger should ask of the pinhole, tell them that's the barometric vent for altitude accuracy wink

Tell em':

It's a mandatory mic the NSA requires that captures everything you say and transmits it onto the NSA to:

    determine who you are
    where you're going
what your going to do when you get there
    why you're going there
    and
if your producing enough methane gas in your car you could easily blow up a city block if you lit a cigar! razz
