Don't see why you could not. downloading files is much easier than it used to be in the old DOS days. Not sure what files you want to convert but there are lots out there.. Google "convert files" and I suspect you will get links to a lot..
Lives in Edmonton AB A volunteer driver for Drive Happiness.ca and now (since June 20 2021) uses a DS65 to find his clients.

What file formats are you looking to convert? Some are easy to work with but others are not. There are a host of converters available on the net. Do a few searches to see if you can find one that suits your needs.

it depends on how often you will run the conversion as well as file size, sensitivity of data ...
I used on-line conversion a couple times. I do not have to worry about getting affected by ad-ware, spy-ware.
