Space issue?

My old trusty 350 is running outa space I want to start putting maps to SD card to do that do I need GE or BC?? I've been using MU for years and it don't let you install to SD card, not that I can see.

MapInstall

You can use either MapUpdater or Garmin Express to install a portion of the map to your 350's internal storage (whatever part will fit). Select the option to install to both device and computer. Then use MapInstall (which is part of BaseCamp) to install the remaining regions to SD card.

Alternatively, you can use Express/Mapupdater to install the map to computer only, then run MapInstall twice, putting a portion of the map in internal storage and the remaining regions to SD.

On a nuvi 3x0 device, you can't put the entire map on SD because the 350 has a file size restriction of 2 GB. The full NA map is larger than 2 GB. So that is why you need to split it between internal storage and SD, keeping each piece under 2 GB.

Ok thanks, so..... when updating maps it don't install them automatically to both card and NUVI you need to manually install the remaining maps onto the card yourself?
